An Open Letter to Albert Pujols

Dear Al,

In the wake of the A-Rod steroid scandal (who was honestly that surprised), you are the best hope of breaking Barry Bonds* home run record some day. You are one of the classiest players in the MLB and put up consistently amazing numbers every year. I really want to believe you have never done steroids and am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. So please don't ever use them. Even if your numbers are going down and you can't break the record, avoid the juice and enjoy the comforts of a clean conscience and a normal sized head. Keep my minor interest and faith in baseball alive.

Sincerely,
VFSS

  1. I don't understand how you can even begin to think that Pujols is clean. You're setting yourself up for another huge letdown. Take a long look at the guy, what he has done, and what era it was in. We all need to wake up and accept the fact that most, if not all of these sluggers have experimented with these drugs.

Here is some food for thought for you. MLB is to a game anymore. It was turned into a cooperation. Within cooperation's across America there is greed and corruption. Blame the people who turned America's pastime into a muilti million dollar business. Stop blaming Barry Alex Rodriguez, and all the other players that fell victim to every humans desire for wealth.

  3. Its not going to be a huge letdown, simply because I don't care enough about baseball as it is. It would just be nice to have one person out there putting up numbers without using steroids. Unfortunately I feel like many professional sports are saturated with steroids, not just baseball. I would not believe it if less than 20% of NFL players are on the juice. Oh well, at least there's tennis...
